CONEXPO 2023 is quickly approaching. If you have not already begun planning, now is the time.

To make sure you do not miss a step during your planning process, we have created a downloadable checklist. Whether you are planning for yourself or your team, it is important to complete each of these items.

If you prefer to download or print the checklist, click here.

1. Plan Your Travel

First thing is first- make sure all your travel accommodations are arranged. When selecting a hotel, make sure you check its proximity to the Las Vegas Convention Center and determine how you will get to and from the show.

Uber and Lyft will be the most convenient options, although wait times may vary due to the large abundance of visitors traveling to and from the show.

Some hotels have a monorail stop, which you can take to and from the convention center. You can purchase a five-day pass for $45, which includes unlimited rides during that timeframe. If you will be traveling to CONEXPO with your team, group discounts are available for parties of 20 or more.

A list of the monorail stops can be found here.

2. Determine the General Logistics

Once your travel is planned, you should start outlining your time in Las Vegas. Be sure to secure your exhibitor pass (if you purchase using CICB's code, you will receive a discount).

After purchasing your pass, check out the list of education sessions. Multiple sessions occur at the same time, so it is important to make a list of what you absolutely want to see.

The show is open from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. To maximize your show time, we recommend eating breakfast before coming to the event and having dinner afterward. Decide if you want a sit-down meal or are going to have a grab-and-go option. If you opt for sit down, reservations are recommended.

3. Plan your Events

If you did not already sign up for education sessions, now is the time to do so. Additionally, research which exhibitors you would like to see and be sure to add them to your show planner.

There will be over 1,800 exhibitors, so bookmark which ones you want to make time to meet with. It is also important to research the exhibitors on your list and see if they are offering in-booth experiences. For example, CICB is having a mobile crane simulator in their booth, and you can reserve a time slot to skip the line.

Lastly, research the exhibitor directory and see if there are any events you would like to attend. Some exhibitors are having events at their booths, while others are having them in meeting rooms. CICB is having a breakfast and networking hour, which requires reserving your spot ahead of time. If you are interested, you can reserve now at this link.

4. Schedule your Day-to-Day Events

Now that you have your education sessions, exhibitors, and events planned, it is time to loosely plan your day-to-day. Take a look at where your education sessions will be and plan your exhibitors around them. The Las Vegas Convention Center is massive, which is why it is important to stick to 1-2 halls per day.

Plan the important events, but be sure to leave room in case you come across an exciting booth that you want to explore. Also, be sure to incorporate at least one break for lunch. CONEXPO can be so exciting that you may forget to have your midday meal.
