Whether it is a basic rigging program or NCCCO Rigging Certification, the applicable OSHA and ANSI/ ASME standards must be the basis of the training. Along with the knowledge of rules and regulations governing rigging, the student should be trained in weight calculations, center of gravities, d/D ratios, capacities, angles, selection, inspection, precautions of sling and rigging hardware, and recognizing potential hazards.
